The Intelligence Engine

Meet the Agents

Six specialized AI agents work in parallel, each responsible for a distinct domain of event intelligence. Together they deliver a comprehensive picture that no single analyst — or team of analysts — could produce in the same timeframe.

The Challenge

Event Research Was Broken

Event marketing teams carry a demanding mandate: plan and execute a portfolio of events throughout the year, ranging from intimate networking mixers to large-scale trade shows with thousands of attendees. Each event requires a substantial body of research before a date or venue can be confirmed — yet the process for conducting that research had not meaningfully evolved in years.

Teams relied on manual web searches, conducted largely at a single point in time, to assess which venue might offer the best value or whether a competitor was planning something in the same window. The sheer volume of work meant that teams could only realistically evaluate one or two date options, choosing based on instinct and prior knowledge rather than comprehensive data. Deeper checks — for things like upcoming transport strikes, weather forecasts, or competitor event announcements — were simply not feasible within the available time.

Once an event was scheduled, the research effectively stopped. There was no mechanism for ongoing monitoring, which meant that if a competitor announced a conflicting event, or if engineering works were planned on a key transport route, the marketing team would only find out when it was too late to adapt. As one senior marketer put it: "We just had to deal with it." The team was perpetually reactive, managing surprises on the day rather than preparing in advance.

Days of Manual Research

Each event required extensive web searching across multiple sources, consuming days of team time before a decision could be made.

Limited Options Assessed

Teams could only evaluate one or two date and venue combinations, leaving potentially better options unexplored.

No Ongoing Monitoring

Once scheduled, events received no further intelligence updates. Changes went undetected until they became day-of surprises.

Blind Spots in Coverage

Critical factors — transport disruptions, competitor announcements, weather risks — fell outside the scope of what teams had capacity to check.

The Solution

AI-Powered Event Intelligence

Algomarketing built The Marketer — an AI-powered event intelligence platform developed in collaboration with Millind Singh at Zoom. The platform was designed around a single insight: the tasks that consumed days of a marketing team's time were largely repetitive, pattern-based, and highly amenable to automation. By deploying multiple AI agents in parallel, grounded in real-time search data via the Gemini API, the platform could do in minutes what previously took days.

A key design principle was search-grounded AI. Every insight surfaced by the platform is verified against live web results before being presented to the user. This eliminates the risk of AI hallucination and ensures that competitor intelligence, compliance requirements, and logistical data reflect the current state of the world — not a model's training data. The platform goes wider than any human researcher could, checking factors that teams previously had no time to assess: weather forecasts, transport disruptions, compliance permit requirements, and speaker availability.

Parallel Agent Architecture

Six specialized agents run simultaneously, each an expert in their domain, delivering a complete intelligence picture in a fraction of the time.

Search-Grounded Accuracy

All AI insights are verified against real-time Google Search data via the Gemini API, ensuring every recommendation reflects current reality.

What We Built

Inside the Platform

Select any feature below to explore the detail, narrative, and screenshots from the live platform.

When a marketer submits their event brief, six specialized AI agents are immediately dispatched in parallel. The General conducts core risk analysis; The Spy performs competitor intelligence; The Architect assesses and compares venues; The Operator evaluates logistics and weather; The Counsel reviews compliance requirements; and The Strategist surfaces relevant trends and speaker talent. All results are grounded in live search data, meaning every insight is verified against real-time web results before being surfaced to the user — eliminating hallucination and ensuring accuracy.

The Impact

Transformative Results for Marketing Teams

Days → MinutesResearch Time Reduction

Event research that previously consumed days of team time now completes in minutes, freeing marketers to focus on strategy and execution.

10× MoreDates & Venues Assessed

Teams can now evaluate a significantly broader range of options, making decisions based on comprehensive data rather than limited spot-checks.

Real-TimeContinuous Monitoring

Saved reports are re-run daily. Any change — a competitor announcement, a weather development, new transport disruptions — triggers an immediate alert.

ZeroDay-of Surprises

Teams arrive at events fully briefed on what to expect. The platform prepares them in advance rather than leaving them to react on the day.

WiderIntelligence Coverage

The platform checks factors teams never had time to assess: compliance requirements, speaker availability, cost surge forecasts, and competitor site recon.

ShareableExecutive Briefs

Every analysis generates a professional PDF brief that documents the decision-making rationale — shareable with stakeholders in a single click.

Our marketing teams are now spending a significantly less amount of time when it comes to doing event research, going from days down to mere minutes. They can now assess many more dates and more venues than they've been able to do before, and they stay up to date with any changes that are happening without needing to do their own desk-based research. We're preparing them before they even go to that event to know what to expect. No more surprises on the day.
